FAQs
We are a nonprofit charity, staffed almost entirely by volunteers. More than 95% of the revenue we receive goes right back into the festival, not into “administrative costs”, or any other phony “overhead” so common with charities.
NO! You can only register through our website. Please be aware of squirrely little scammers on social media. Do not send ANYONE money.
All of our transactions are handled through Visa’s Authorize.net. It is a very rigorous and constant verification process that Visa puts us through, and only 10% of the festivals throughout America can meet it. But it guarantees that our vendors are fully protected, and have a seamless and transparent channel to participate with us.
Our Vendor Return Rate is greater than 85%, and they have nearly all become our valued personal friends. Of course, there are always vendors who either: Show up too late for Load-in, never show up at all, or bring a product that attendees are not interested in purchasing. Unfortunately, WE sometimes get the blame for the problems THEY caused. Oh well. Part of the business.
Yes. We liberally refund vendors just by requesting one, up to 45 days prior to the event date. But then, we have to submit the SiteMap to the host City, and it cannot be altered. So, be sure to read the Refund Policy carefully when you register.
NEVER by us. But festivals can be cancelled if a government orders it, such as Spring of 2020, due to COVID.
Very rarely, because we have to pay for the concert entertainment well in advance, and the money is not refundable back to us. But unforeseen circumstances do arise occasionally, mostly because of cataclysmic weather, or some other reason where we just didn’t have any choice. Postponed events are always made up within seven (7) months of the original date.
Community Marketplace: For our corporate sponsors exclusively. These spaces are the most expensive, but our Marketplace sponsors receive invaluable community goodwill. The folks know that they are the engine that makes everything else possible.
Arts & Crafts Marketplace: Handmade items of all sorts, and antiques. Display spaces are least expensive, because having these products on-site is a draw for larger crowds.
Fresh Market: This is for our local farmers. The spaces are also inexpensive, and it is an honor to have them be with us.
Food & Beverage Garden: A bit more expensive, but our attendees are onsite an average of two hours, and they sure get hungry and thirsty. You can serve from a tent, or from a truck or a trailer.
Yes. We welcome that.
It just causes too much anger. So, we load-in sequentially instead. There is no difference in foot traffic from one space to another. And some vendors like to be closer to the music. Some do not. We work hard to accommodate everyone’s requests on Load-in Morning. Best of all, vendor friends want to be placed side-by-side, so this works out quite well.
Almost never. Vendor displays are nearly always on grass. So be sure to bring a cart or a dolly (or lots of family) to help you load-in.
Often, it is a lack of signage and/or excitement with your display. Be sure to be highly visible. And a promotion or a contest is a surefire way to gain attention and increase your engagement.
Without question. No form of marketing is more powerful and more immediate than meeting customers personally. And now that television, newspaper, and radio are irrelevant, it is really the only method of advertising left. People scroll right past ads on social media, and everyone has ad blockers on google. But know what? That makes your presence at large events even more valuable and rewarding.
Yes. City police are at the festivals during operational hours, and also overnight on Saturday evening.
YES! These are suburban homeowners, with families. And when admission is only $5, they are very approachable and easy for our vendors to chat with. They very much appreciate our sponsors.
Because the government folks require an accurate attendance count. Unfortunately, they won’t take our word on it. And the more people who show up, the more money they can charge us for security. So please get a ticket, so you can trade it for a wristband at the event gate.
Then, we have to ask you to leave, and the police start acting crazy. They love drama. But we hate drama. Just flash your tickets on your phone, and tell us how many wristbands you need. And you’re all set.
Yes. 7 major concerts.. And a whole lot of fun!
Sure. The Ticket Booth folks will give you a free wristband. We want everyone to experience a beautiful day with us.
NO. And it is not OUR policy. It’s because, police act crazy when they see coolers, thinking you are smuggling in a bomb. PLEASE keep coolers at home.
Unfortunately, they are not allowed either. Owners let them take a dump on the lawn, and then laugh about it.. Not so funny to the rest of us.
Lawn chairs and/or blankets are strongly recommended. You will want to stick around for a few hours, because the music truly is EXCELLENT. And our visual artists and crafters would love to see you too. Very unique gifts that would be cool to have and show.
Yes. And they do not need a wristband.
FREE. Save your money to use in our Food & Beverage Garden, OK?
Yes. But we do not promote it or advertise it. And it is closely monitored, to make sure no one becomes inebriated.
We are grateful to our Festival Brothers & Sisters who have been so loyal to us, and have supported our sponsors, to make this all possible. We love y’all.. See you soon!
